Literature
Tina Jørstian and Poul Erik Munk Nielsen, eds, Light Years Ahead, The Story of the PH Lamp, Denmark, 2000, p. 138, where the authors confirm that only lamps produced before May 1928 bear the stamp 'Pat. Appl.'. Lamps produced after that date are marked 'Patented'.
Condition
Of good overall appearance. Patination is slightly less dark than implied by catalogue illustration. Minor old marks and scratches to glass. One minor pinprick chip to inside edge of largest shade, concealed by mount. Tiny nicks to rims of smaller two shades. Old marks, scratches and general surface wear to metal. Not tested or guaranteed for electricity. A good and large example of this classic design.
