Condition

An attractive and desirable pair. Ivory more yellow in tone than the catalogue illustration suggests. Both with indistinct inscriptions to underside of base 'Made in France'. Male figure - Leaning forwards slightly. With highlights of cold painting to his tunic. Chip to lower edge at back of base. Wear to silvering particularly to his left leg. Natural cracks to ivory on arms and face. Restoration to 2 of the ivory elements of his left arm. Yellowing discolouration and glue deposit to his left hand. Female figure - minor scratches to her skirt, cracks to all ivory elements, wear to all cold painting. An important model by the leading Art Deco sculptor.
