A rare model. Ivory more yellow than the illustration suggests. The base with numerous edge chips and one small area of restoration. Patination to the bronze has been removed and the piece is now polished, with some traces of patina to crevices. Old marks and scratches overall. Ivory with some cracks, particularly to her chest, shoulders and back, also to the tops of her hands. Some wear to staining on ivory, commensurate with age. Signature rather crude. A vibrant model. Prospective purchasers are reminded that this lot contains ivory which may be subject to export and import restrictions. For example, it is illegal to import elephant ivory under 100 years old into the United States.
