- A rare working collection of architectural drawings
the inside cover with retailer's label 'W. Foster London' and dated in ink 'Jan 30 1871', various inscriptions and titles, to the middle section five drawings with signatures and titles, some of the photographs titled and initialled in the negative, contemporary half calf binding

Lacking one quire, sketches rubbed or torn, some pages torn, with losses, and discoloured, occasional offsetting. Photographs worn, torn and/or marked. Pages in last 4 quires with blackened edges at right edge at top, Binding worn.

Catalogue Note
John Moyr Smith (1839-1912) trained as an architect in Glasgow. He was closely associated with and contributed designs to the workshops of Christopher Dresser, Collinson & Lock, Minton and W. B. Simpson & Sons. Moyr Smith has written and illustrated a number of publications relating to architecture and interior decoration.
