An elegant and rare occasional table of good overall appearance. Some general rubbing to gilt bronze foliage mounts. Mounts less shiny than they appear in the catalogue illustration. The undertier with restoration to the rim of approx. 16cm. in length, resulting in a minute loss to one end. Minor old knocks and scratches overall consistent with age. Piece has been repolished. Top with slight crazing to the veneer and two areas which appear to have been restored. A fine and handsome table ready for use and display.

This model was first exhibited at the Paris 'Salon des Industries du Mobilier', Grand Palais in 1902. It continued Majorelle's furniture series 'aux nénuphars' which was first shown at the Paris 'Exposition Universelle' in 1900.
