  • A Pale Turquoise Glass Vase Engraved in Greek "Drink and Live Long"

  • Height 7 1/2 in. 19 cm.
with pedestal foot, pear-shaped body, tall neck, and flaring mouth, the body wheel-engraved with a palm branch and a Greek inscription translating "Drink and live long," an encircling band of lozenges above, each divided from the other by three vertical lines, an encircling band of oblique notches below.
