  • A Large Egyptian Bronze Figure of the Horus Falcon
  • bronze
  • Height 14 1/2 in. 36.8 cm.
standing with wings folded back over the tail, and wearing a broad beaded collar, heart amulet suspended on the breast, and the Crown of Upper and Lower Egypt with uraeus and spiral, with sharply hooked beak and large round eyes with raised rims, the eye markings and feathers finely engraved, a sealed opening underneath.

Condition

Very good and as shown; the missing feet were cast separately; note that the spiral is bent to one side. There are minor dents and chips and there is some surface wear. The modern black marble base has chips which have been digitalized out in the photos, including a large one at the upper front right corner.
