Condition
The work is in very good condition. It is on its original canvas. There are some craquelures visible, mostly to the thick beige impastos in the upper half of the composition. Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching.

Chu Teh-Chun est le peintre de ce qui bouge, de ce qui s'affronte, de ce qui se mêle, il prolonge les halètements du temps et parfois même les précède ; il enfle les rythmes, les bouscule, les contrarie, les balafre de signes comme des pistes traversant l'espace aux douces aurores brumeuses, ou dans les flamboiements du couchant.
