Condition
Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is some undulation to the canvas in places throughout, a stretcher mark towards the bottom edge, and some wear to the extreme overturn edges towards the bottom corners. There are areas of stable drying cracks, paint shrinkage and craquelure throughout, inherent to the artist's method. No restoration is apparent under ultra-violet light.
