This work is in very good condition overall. All staining, accretions and holes in the canvas appear inherent to the artist's working method. The wires appear in sound condition overall, although two of the wires around the center have come loose from the canvas. There is a brown painted area in the upper right corner, visible in the catalogue illustration, which exhibits craquelure and small associated losses.
