Condition
Colour:
The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is richer and deeper in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to fully convey the reflective qualities of the acrylic glass elements and the iridescence of the metallic paint apparent in the original.
Condition:
This work is in very good condition. There are a few fine superficial surface dust fibres adhering throughout. On very close inspection there is a tiny drip mark to the top of the black strip running down the centre of the canvas and a few fine surface imperfections are visible to the gold stripe towards the right of the composition. Examination under ultraviolet light reveals no evidence of restoration.
