Description

  • porcelain
comprising: two teapots and covers;  two cream jugs and covers; a waste bowl; two saucer dishes; a beaker; two teabowls; three coffee cups; and two saucers. 19 pieces.

Condition

Teapots: One has a shallow 1/8 inch chip to the spout. The other has a replacement silver spout and a crack where the handle joins the body at the top. There is heavy fritting to the glaze on the handle. There is restoration all around the rim of the cover and to the knop. It is possible the cover is not original to the pot. The wastebowl: some rubbing to the gilding. Saucer dishes: One has a 2 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch of restoration to the rim which appears to cover a large rim chip. The other is heavily sprayed on one side presumably to cover a long crack or break. Cream jugs: The slightly smaller cream jug has some patches of flaking to the pink enamel. The cover is in good condition. The other cream jug has a small chip on the inside edge of the spout; the cover is in good condition. Beaker: There is a very minor star shaped haircrack to the body on one side. Two saucers: One is in good condition. The other is also in good condition. Teabowls: One is in good condition. The other has a less than 1/4 inch haircrack to the rim. Coffee cups: One has minor flaking to the pink enamel and a 1/8 inch shallow chip to the rim. Another has a 1/8 inch rim chip and a minor frit. The other has an 1/8 inch deep rim chip and considerable rim fritting. All pieces have some rubbing to the gilding on the floral decoration.
