Condition
There is a 2 inch haircrack to the underside of the rim at 3 o’clock. There is a ¼ inch chip with a 1 ¼ inch area of restoration at 9 o’clock. There is a ¼ inch chip at 7 o’clock. There is a small chip at 2 o’clock which has been ground down.

Catalogue Note
Fuchs and Howard, 2005, p. 46, no. 11 illustrate a similar plate with a slightly different border. The authors suggest that these plates may have been sent back to Europe by missionaries as evidence of their success.
