Condition

Pile generally low to knotheads with some blues and browns approximately 1/10 inch. Repiling scattered throughout madder red field---possibly due to oxidation and with some tinting in lowest areas as well as on warp ties; some browns intact, most repiled. Lower end with most of flatwoven end intact, upper end with losses to edge of design area. Sides with losses to selvages, some with later overcasting and mchine-stitched selvages. Supple handle, sound fabric.
