Catalogue Note

With a contemporary female ownership inscription. The recipes are practical in nature (the author recommends her book for the clergy "especially to those whose Parishes are remote from other Help"), although a few of the recipes have delightfully fanciful names, such as "a Quire of Paper" (pancakes).
