Oil on canvas
Provenance
Anonymous sale, London, Sotheby's, 8 April 1987, lot 141, for £2,600, where acquired by the present owners.
Condition
The canvas has a recent and tight relining. The paint surface is secure and under a yellowed varnish and rather flat. Overall the painting appears to the naked eye to be structurally sound. Though some scattered retouchings do flouresce, for example on the white jug, the varnish does not allow for satisfactory inspection under UV light. Offered in a later wooden frame in good condition.
