Arabic manuscript on cream coloured paper, 303 leaves, plus 2 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in neat Naskhi script, verses separated by small gold medallions embellished with blue and red dots, surah headings written in white against gold ground panels, ruled in red and gold, polychrome and gold marginal illuminations in various floral forms, opening illuminated double page frontispiece decorated with interlacing flowers in blue, red and white against a solid punched gold ground, strapwork inner borders, the text written within cloudbands, dark morocco binding punched with gold decoration, with flap

Condition

In good overall condition, occasional minor stains, otherwise pages clean and gold bright, various leaves loose from binding, binding with abrasions and rubbing, edges fraying, as viewed.
