Condition

The canvas is wavy mostly in the center. There is a mark of pressure along the left lower margin. Under the UV light are visible traces of retouching spread on the surface. Colours are darker compared with the catalogue illustration.

"Questo dipinto è da considerarsi un abbozzo rappresentante uno scorcio di "Burano" lasciato incompiuto dal pittore veneziano Gino Rossi. E' un'interessante documento, che viene ad aggiungersi ad una serie di dipinti che l'artista eseguì a Burano, riproducendo lo stesso angolo di paesaggio: la chiesa, un gruppo di case, e un accenno di orti in primo piano che nei dipinti che si conoscono di questo soggetto diventano alberi e filari di vite."
