- Height 14 3/4 in. 37.5 cm.
the youthful deity standing against a tree-trunk support with his weight on the right leg, a thyrsos made of a different material once in his raised left hand, his long hair falling over his chest and the nape of his neck, and wearing a goat skin knotted on the right shoulder and himation falling from the left shoulder, significant remains of red pigment.

the photographer, filmmaker, painter, author and art collector Eliot Elisofon (1911-1973), Manhattan and Vinalhaven, Maine, acquired in the early 1960s, perhaps in Egypt while working on his book The Nile (1964)
by descent to the present owner

left arm broken and repaired from two pieces, chip on animal skin behind proper left shoulder, otherwise and shown and described.
