  • A Persian Bronze Lamp in the Form of a Hare, Khurasan
  • Bronze
  • Height 5 1/4 in. 13.3 cm.
with wick holders flanking the shoulders and tail forming the filling hole, the body decorated with guilloche and scrolling vine.

acquired in 1970 or earlier

Condition

As shown. Lower hind legs missing. Ears bent. Swivel lid at tail opening missing. One and possibly both forepaws repaired. Various other imperfections. Neck cut down, head separate.
