Description

- gold,diamond,pearl,enamel,necklace
Set with table-cut diamonds within gold frames applied with black, green and red enamel, alternating with pearls, length 16 inches, signed Wièse, maker's mark, French assay mark.
Condition
Set with 12 table-cut diamonds, approximately greyish hue, I3 clarity. Slight losses to enamel but not readily visible. Also set with 11 pearls which are white and creamy with a good luster, uneven surfaces. One link signed on the back Wiese, tongue of clasp bears maker's mark for Wiese and a French assay mark. The mark of Wiese with stars above and below is for the son Louis Wiese (not the father Jules), which was registered in 1890; the piece therefore dates to after 1890. Each link is stamped with numbers from 1 to 12. Fitted with safety chain. In good condition.
