- vesi wood, puau abalone shell
Two labels on bottom of lid, the first printed "Beasley Collection." and inscribed "N.Z. Tinderbox. No 1189", the second printed "Mathias Komor Works Of Art New York" and inscribed "H690". Together with a letter by Beasley, including drawings. Contains Vesi (instia bejuga) wood and Paua Abalone (haliotis iris) shell.

Condition
Fair condition overall; one of the heads broken and reattached, age cracks, wear and tear, nicks and scratches throughout; age crack on reverse of opposite head, filled; two shell inlays missing; aged medium brown patina.
