Very good condition overall for an object of this type and age; vertical hairline cracks in the middle of the shaft; minor abrasion on side of tip above scales; one of the scales in the second row of scales below the tip chipped; nicks and scratches, wear and tear throughout from handling; traces of residue in the middle of the shaft, possibly from an old label; exceptionally fine lustrous reddish brown patina.
