the rectangular crossbanded top centering a later leather-lined writing surface, the conforming frieze fitted with three drawers, each pedestal fitted with four graduated drawers, each side panel fitted with a brass bail handle, all on a molded plinth, on later casters.

Condition

Overall good restored condition; plinths later; blocks to casters and casters later; later handles and some lock platess replaced; the top with a later leather-lined top, the crossbanding with chips to the front corners and a small loss to the back right corner and with a small patch to the right side at the back; the three frieze drawers with later linings and bottoms, the three drawers possibly the front of one long drawer; the central drawer with a later Bramah lock; and with patches around the lock to the inside edge and a patch to the front where original keyhole was fitted; later lock plates to the two small frieze drawers; left frieze drawer with loose bottom; each side panel with a long vertical age crack which runs the height of the panel and with some infilling; bottom left drawr with chips and losses to cockbeading to the bottom right corner; third drawer to left side with small chips to cockbeading; the second drawer with chips and wear to cockbeading of right side and bottom right corner; patch above keyhole of first drawer to left side; the backs to the pedesals with age cracks over lines of construction, one with a large vertical age crack to the center; overall with some old marks, scratches scuffs and bruises.
