Condition

Overall in very good condition. The mahogany surfaces throughout appear to retain their original finish and show evidence of being wiped down and cleaned as part of general household maintenance over the years. The wood surfaces throughout with occasional surface scratches, abrasions and edge wear consistent with age and use, most notably to the feet. The top with scattered transparent dark surface staining as well as a few small dark ring marks. The lower shelf also shows dark staining mostly reserved to one petal. There is a seam separation to the planking on the top as well as one area of the lower shelf. There are traces of what appears to be wax in the pores of the wood throughout all the surfaces from a prior wax application. As a result, the surfaces throughout the table have a subtle whitish cast. The table would benefit from being sensitively cleaned and properly waxed. There are a few scattered stress fractures to the top carved wood segments on a few of the legs, one of which shows minor movement. Two of the reverse blocks, which support the backside of each leg to the underside of table top, are missing. Due to natural shrinkage, three of the legs are slightly loose from the dowel pins which support them to the lower shelf. There is a small old break, (½ x ½ inch) to one of the side elements on one foot, which was tacked back in place with a small nail. One other foot with a minor stress fracture that appears stable.
