Un examen approfondi montre la présence d'une pliure verticale dans la partie droite de la composition ainsi que deux petites zones d'abrasion du papier entre les jambes des deux personnages. Executed on beige paper. A close inspection reveals a flattened crease running vertically down the right-hand side of the composition as well as two small areas of abrasion to the paper between the legs of the two figures. Apart from two minor horizontal creases running from the lower left edge and possible artist's pinholes in all four corners, this work is in good overall condition.
