Condition

Original canvas. The surface is slightly dirty and there is a media mark upper left. There are a few flecks of paint loss and lifting paint to the crouching figure in the hat on the left and four flecks of paint loss beneath the child with the book on the right. Ultraviolet light reveals no apparent signs of retouching. Held in a painted plaster frame. Please telephone the department on 020 7293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
