Acquired directly from the artist in the late 1950s and thence by descent to the present owner
Condition
The sheet is sound and undulating slightly. The work is attached to the mount by two adhesive strips in the upper corners.
There are some media marks in the upper right and lower right quadrants and a small crease in the lower left quadrant. There are some stains on the edges on the reverse, where the work was previously attached to the mount.
Held under glass in a wooden frame with a white mount.

Although it is difficult to establish the exact location, the present work appears to be a sketch of the Oxford Street Building Site or Maples Demolition Site.
