Description

  • gilt-bronze, mahogany
  • height 4 ft. 7 3/4 in.; width 37 1/2 in.; depth 17 1/4 in.
  • 141.5 cm; 95 cm; 43.5 cm
surmounted by a black marble top above a fall front opening to a mirrored recess above a central drawer flanked by banks of two drawers above a long drawer before a gilt-tooled leather-lined writing surface, above three long drawers.

Condition

Overall in fair condition and presentation; please note that there is a large vertical age crack to the back edge of the left side panel, due to shrinkage of carcass; thin veneer tear to right side panel; marble is original with minor chips to the edges mostly to the back; the piece comes with two original trefoil-head keys; the fall front with light veneer tears over the lines of construction; two handles to bottom drawer replaced; the front left column is slightly loose; some small patches to veneers of drawer fronts.
