Catalogue Note

Linke title: petite table LXV genre ancienne en satiné et bois gris.

This is one of four small tables on consecutive pages in the Blue Daybook, Linke Archive numbers 1046, 340, 1047, as in the present lot, and 1048. It is difficult to distinguish the tables from Linke's pencil drawings, which are all in the Louis XV vein. Remaining glass negatives, however, clearly show that the present table was made two, or possibly three times, with marquetry supplied by Labbé.
