fitted with a frieze drawer and a vertical sliding screen, the lock has been removed to reveal the stamp CT LINKE/ SERRURERIE / PARIS.

Condition

Overall in good condition; the silk panel to the screen with tears; gilt-bronze mounts with tarnishing but retain original gilding; the key escutcheon showing three screws, which are a later addition mounted restoration; two pin holes to side of the keyhole escutcheon are visible, implying that bronze mounts are lacking; the gilt-tooled ivory-colored leather top with minor staining and a burn mark to upper right corner; extensive wear and chips to collars of toupee feet; overall with usual nicks dents and scratches consistent with age and use; minor chips to fluting.
