the foliate carved oval frame surmounted by the figure of Juno flanked by peacocks and putti above the figures of Jupiter, Neptune and Ceres, with their respective attributes.
Condition
Overall good condition; rubbing and wear to the gilding with areas of dirt to the crevices; the figure of Juno with a loss to each thumb; Juno's face formerly broken in half now reglued, showing restoration crack. Small chips to her dress and to peacocks; some chips and losses to the gilding of the figures in general with large chips and losses to the cornucopia held by the figure of Ceres, loss to the deer's right antler; rubbing and wear to the gilding of Jupiter's arm showing the gesso; some small losses to the gilding around the inner molded edge around the mirror and with some inpainting; overall with small chips to gilding in places. Please note that there is a large age crack running to the bottom left side of the mirror to the lower part of the frame.
