the central bevelled glazed door opening to three glass shelves and a mirrored interior above a coffre with six drawers fitted for cutlery and a faux drawer, the coffre removed to reveal a crayoned inscrption Grimard, the lock plate signed Grimard / Meubles d'Art / 5, rue de Charonne, the side of the door stamped 1736.
Condition
Overall in good original condition and excellent presentation; gilt-bronze mounts with the original gilding and very finely cast and chased and with the expected tarnishing and areas of dirt consistent with age; the door and sides are fitted with bevelled glass panels; the cutlery drawers have some scratches and dents; some minor points of oxidation to the molded apron; the glass with traces of glue from old stickers; the top of right rounded side panel slightly warped; age crack to frieze beneath the cornice to front right side.
