Condition

Overall good condition; the gilt-bronze tarnished and with losses, rubbing and wear to gilding showing the red color of the bronze beneath in places; lacking the gilt-bronze collar to the top of the spreading foot as can be seen in the catalogue illustration. Beautifully painted; the body of the vase in very good condition, the gilt-highlight decoration in very good condition with very little wear and rubbing; some very light surface scratches overall. Please note the associated lid has been broken but will be repaired at Sotheby's expense.
