Apart from some very light bowing to the lower-left quarter (convex), the panel is in good condition, flat and even. There are strokes of retouching visible under ultraviolet light in the sky, and in areas along the facing wall of the left-hand building, with two smaller areas to the wall of the central, more distant building, and other spots elsewhere, notably to several of the figures in the street, most retouching applied over an even varnish. Held in a wide, elaborate wood and plaster gold-painted frame.
