Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is fresher and more vibrant in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light. Some very minor craquelures, especially to the yellow in the upper right section. A, non disturbing, horizontal hairline crack from the left side of the canvas, through the Lyle, to the head. Three minor horizontal hairline cracks to the white brush stroke in the upper right section. The sides of the canvas garnished with black tape (about 0.5cm. on the visible side of the canvas).
