Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting on canvas has been lined with wax as an adhesive. Under ultraviolet light broad retouches are visible in the cream color of the sky in the center and on the left side however it appears that these could be removed with no visual diminishment of the image. There appears to be no restoration in the landscape and foreground. Cleaning the picture to eliminate the restorations is recommended and the wax lining should be reversed.
