THE FIGURE ON THE LEFT OF THE CATALOGUE PICTURE: The cornucopia with several vertical cracks, natural for the age. A section of cm 5x7 missing at 3 o’clock, of the cornucopia plate. Several minor chips, wood worming all over the leaves and flowers edges, and on the cornucopia body. Several lacks of painted surface throughout the face and the body of the figure. Two cracks on the left arm. Minor cracks on the face. A crack from the shoulder to the neck, two the vertical cracks on the body. A star crack on the right knee and a vertical on the left one. Several losses of gilding on the cloak. Several losses of painted decoration on the rock base. THE RIGHT FIGURE: A similar situation to the previous one. The cornucopia support and the cloak with wood worming. A vertical crack on the neck, on the left shoulder and on the left arm, throughout the belly. A vertical crack on the right tight. Several losses of painted decoration on the left arm cloak and rock base. FINAL COMMENT: Although both repainted and regilt, the shape and the movement of the figures are highly theatrical and fully Baroque in the Berninesque approach. The repainting and regilding it is not modern but has acquired patina and edge.
