Condition
STRUCTURE
This picture is unlined an in very good condition. The colours are strong and the paint surface appears stable throughout. There are areas of very fine craquelure, particularly in the darkest areas but this is only visible upon very close inspection. The canvas would benefit from being restretched
UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT
There are areas of retouching in the darkest parts of the picture, probably to fill craquelure.
FRAME
This picture is contained in a moulded plaster frame (with some losses to the moldings which could be replaced easily by a frame restorer).
