Condition

STRUCTURE This picture is relined and in very good condition with rich colouring throughout. There is fine craquelure visible in the sky but this appears to be stable and is only visible upon close inspection. The picture is ready to hang. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There have been infillings to the sky and to the edge of the canvas where the paint surface had been rubbed by the rebate of the frame. FRAME This picture is contained in a moulded gilt frame (in excellent condition).
