Catalogue Note

Rare. Pierre d'Aubusson was the successful defender of Rhodes against the Turks in 1480. While this is primarily a life of d'Aubusson, Grand Master of the Knights of St John at Rhodes, it also contains passages on other crusades against the Turks, with accounts of the Lusignan and Savoyade dynasties in Cyprus.
