Catalogue Note

A rare, anonymous derivative of Herman Moll's pocket globe of 1719. Although the globe is pierced for axis pins, none are present; the form of the case suggests that it was not issued with pins (cf. GLB0196, also without pins). The passage of time has caused a slight change in the shape of the case, and it does not close properly.
