In what appears to be its original gilded frame, with Attacked by Her Majesty's frigate Indefatigable Edward Pellew and the Amazon Reynolds who forced her to shore inscribed on the original stretcher. Together with another Attributed to Thomas Buttersworth (1768-1842), Night Battle Scene of Naval Engagement, oil on canvas; and Attributed to Thomas Buttersworth, Jr., Storm in the Channel, oil on panel. 3 pieces.

The first: scattered in-paint, old surface varnish, mounted on masonite. The second: Scattered in-paint to the sky. The third: Looks okay, reflecting varnish.
