Original canvas. Surface in good condition aside from fine craquelure visible mainly in the sky and a very faint stretcher bar mark at left edge. Under UV: a few touches of repaint in the top of the birch. A few touches above and to the left of the signature, some streaks of varnish lower left quadrant. Very faint old retouch corresponding to an old patch on reverse slightly to the left of the first crotch of the birch.
