Condition

Canvas is lined. Surface in generally good condition aside from minor frame abrasion, very faint pressed craquelure, thick shiny varnish. Under UV: old varnish has sunken into craquelure, newest generation of repaint includes a spot in trees upper right, spot above trees upper left approximately 9 in. in from edge, a 1 in. line and a 3 in. line between left edge and top of waterfall a few other spots, lower left quadrant and earlier generation of repaint includes inpainted craquelure above trees at right and generally following line of trees at left, in most of the sky down to first tree at right. Other older areas of repaint in the sky. Streaky varnish or old repaint lower half. Interested parties should examine this work in person prior to bidding in the auction.
