Description
- 30cm, 11 3/4 in wide
gadrooned borders, the domed covers with a gadrooned band and detachable rocaille and foliate scroll ring handles, the bodies and covers engraved with coat-of-arms within an asymmetrical cartouche, the undersides stamped Garrards Panton St. London, the stands on four foliage and scoll feet with foliate loop handles and detachable cushion-shaped liners, all numbered 1-4

Condition
Overall condition good, with signs of use, including knife cuts to entrée dishes, the covers with slight bruises to the corners, marks OK, one cover with small dig at one end. Heater bases good, with very slight wear to edges of bases, a few small dents and bruises.

Catalogue Note
The arms are those of Thoyts of Sulhampstead, Berkshire, with Newman in pretence for Jane, daughter and co-heiress of Abraham Newman of Mount Bures, Essex. She, who married William Thoyts, High Sheriff of Berkshire (1795), who died in November 1817, herself died in 1850 having borne three sons and seven daughters.
