Provenance

Christie's, New York, 22nd April 2008, lot 32

Condition

The stem is loose and the joints need tightening up. There is a section beneath the crown which has more age than the rest and may well be associated or a replacement. There is evidence of resoldering. One of the stylised bells has two holes. One candlearm is missing and will need to be remade. There are also some holes in one of the candlearms. There is a patch to the baluster section of the central stem. Some of the candlearms are slightly crooked, especially the lower section, probably due to age. In overall good condition.
