Description
- 206cm. high, 164cm. wide, 69cm. deep; 6ft. 9in., 5ft. 4½in., 2ft. 3¼in.
each hinged door with multiple moulded panels
Provenance
Christie's London, 9th November, 2006, lot 159.
Condition
Fair condition. Attractive colour, especially to the doors. The plinth base is later. Many old wood-worm holes throughout. Some fragmentation caused by the woodworm damage to the left side of the base of the back. The extensive losses to the right hand side near the base has made the armoire somewhat unstable. Further more minor splits to panels and separations throughout with some minor patches. Would benefit from being re-constructed by a qualified furniture restorer.
