A Mahogany Longcase Clock, Nathaniel Brown, Manchester

13-inch dial with mask and leaf spandrels, engraved centre with seconds dial and calendar aperture, the arch with a painted moon disc above engraved hemispheres and below an arc signed Nathaniel Brown, Manchester, the movement with rack and bell striking, the well figured case of rich colour with shaped cresting above a swan neck pediment inset with three blue gilt verre églomisé panels (two cracked) and reeded hood pilasters, the trunk door with shaped top flanked by similar pilasters, panelled plinth and bracket feet; minute hand lacking.

Dial in need of a clean, some scuffing to the moon dial, minute hand lacking, movement appears to run but is much in need of a clean, connection to moon is in place but connection to the calendar is lacking, case re-polished and in generally good condition, two of the verre églomisé panels cracked, lacking finials, minor old marks and scuffs throughout; with two weights and pendulum but no case key or winder
