11-inch dial with double cherub and crown spandrels linked by engraved foliate scrolls, signed Tho Baker, Blandford, matted centre with seconds dial, ringed winding holes and engraved calendar aperture, the movement with four ring-turned and knopped pillars, internal locking plate striking on a bell, the associated case with flat top and moulded cornice above a pierced foliate fret and turned hood pilasters, the rectagular trunk door with a lenticle, the reduced plinth with a later base, the door, sides and plinth inlaid with broad banding

Dial is dirty and needs a clean, rings would benefit from re-silvering, hands probably original but now painted with black paint. Movement complete but needs a clean, escape wheel and pallets replaced but otherwise appears to have original wheel work, seatboard replaced. Case is associated and in need of complete restoration - many old cracks losses and marks throughout, plinth reduced and now fitted with a later base. With pendulum, 2 brass-cased weights and a winder but no case key. Potential buyers should inspect.
